Active Ingredients:

• Ceftriaxone Sodium IP 1g

• Tazobactam Sodium IP 125mg

Approved Uses:

• Complicated intra-abdominal infections

• Nosocomial pneumonia (including VAP)

• Febrile neutropenia

• Complicated UTIs with suspected resistance

Dosage Instructions:

• Adults: 1.125g every 24 hours (up to 4.5g/day in sepsis)

• IV Administration:

  1. Reconstitute with 10ml sterile water/Lidocaine HCl

  2. Further dilute in 50-100ml NS/D5W

  3. Infuse over 30 minutes

• IM Administration:

  • Use 1% Lidocaine as diluent

  • Max 1g per injection site

Critical Warnings:
❌ Contraindicated in:

• Cephalosporin/penicillin anaphylaxis

• Neonates ≤28 days (risk of kernicterus)
  ⚠️ Monitor for:

• Pseudocholelithiasis (especially children)

• Bleeding tendency (vitamin K antagonism)

Storage:

• Before reconstitution: Below 25°C (protect from light)

• After reconstitution:

  • NS solutions: Stable 24 hours at 25°C

  • D5W solutions: Stable 12 hours
