Active Ingredients:

• Ceftriaxone Sodium IP 500mg

Approved Uses:

• Hospital-acquired pneumonia (including VAP)

• Severe sepsis of unknown origin

Dosage Instructions:

• Adults: 1.5g (2 vials) every 12 hours

• IV Administration:

  1. Reconstitute with 5ml sterile water/Lidocaine HCl

  2. Further dilute in 50-100ml NS/D5W

  3. Infuse over 30-60 minutes

• Max Daily Dose: 6g ceftriaxone component

Critical Warnings:
❌ Contraindicated in:

• Penicillin/cephalosporin anaphylaxis

• Neonates with hyperbilirubinemia
  ⚠️ May cause:

• Biliary sludge/pseudolithiasis

• Vitamin K deficiency (monitor PT/INR)

Storage:

• Before reconstitution: Below 25°C (protect from light)

• After reconstitution:

  • NS solutions: Stable 24 hours at 25°C

  • D5W solutions: Stable 6 hours
